Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them is a fantasy film directed by David Yates, a prequel of the Harry Potter film series, the film was produced & written by J. K. Rowling, in her screenwriting debut inspired by her book of the same name. In this movie we shall see Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander with Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Samantha Morton, Jon Voight, Carmen Ejogo, Ron Perlman & #ColinFarrell. It is the 1st instalment in the Fantastic Beasts series & the 9th overall in J. K. Rowling's Wizarding World.
The year is 1926, Newt Scamander (#EddieRedmayne) has just completed a global excursion to find & document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come & gone without incident, were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case & the escape of some of Newt's fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding & No-Maj worlds.
With dazzling effects &wondrous new characters, funny, well-acted, but mostly full of heart, this film is the ultimate proof that there's still much to see from J.K. Rowling's universe of wizards & witches. A fun & mystical movie great for the kids & enjoyable for adults.
I must say that even though it's a spin off from the Harry Potter Films & Books, it's just as good. Stylish, unique, wonderfully crafted, magical. I'd give 3.5/5 🌟🌟🌟 bcoz it draws on Harry Potter's rich mythology to deliver a spinoff that dazzles with franchise-building magic all its own. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie!
