If you like action and thriller drama, then you wouldn't want to miss this movie! This film has been released nationwide on October 20, 2016.

The Accountant is an action crime drama thriller film follows an autistic, small-town certified public accountant who makes his living uncooking the books of dangerous criminal organizations that are experiencing internal embezzlement. In this film we shall see Ben Affleck as 'The Accountant' stars together with Anna Kendrick, J. K. Simmons, Jon Bernthal, Jeffrey Tambor and John Lithgow.

Our attention is on an autistic math prodigy who happens to be an accountant for criminals and third world dictators. The film starts slow and simple but builds up well as the story progresses, things become more and more interesting. The premise of the movie was intriguing - seeing autism presented in a positive light is refreshing. Smart movie, intense, intricate and darkly amusing.

A fun ride with a twist on the protagonist. A little bit dragged out in parts but Ben Affleck plays his character extremely well and also there were some few comedic parts too. And there's some pretty intense violence though - so be warned.

Despite some indifferent reviews, surprisingly, The Accountant was such an enjoyable adult entertainment with a sensitive look at autism. I'd give 4/5 * because it's a thriller with an original script and an interesting protagonist with unexpected plot twists that seeks to surprise, plus Ben Affleck strong performance is both engaging and mesmerizing, at his best so far. I enjoyed the characters + story line and particularly liked the ending which I found endearing and close to my heart as I had special needs little sister!
